Academic Qualifications for Geneticists


One can pursue the bachelor, master & a doctoral degree in this field. Though, a Bachelors or Master’s degree in genetics is also good, but the career in genetics engineering is mostly limited to being a research assistant or a lab manager. Without a Ph.D in Genetics, one cannot climb up the ladder. Specialisation can be done in microbiology, cell biology, Bio-Technology & biochemistry.
